Hue & Dot by Mirth Studio, a decorative flooring brand, will open its first showroom in the Charleston Design District at the historic Navy Yard Charleston. The showroom will offer flooring patterns, custom decorative embellishments, and interior design solutions for designers and clients.
Mirth Studio was founded in 2014 by Sally Bennett, a decorative artist who previously spent her career designing murals, hand-painted floors, and faux-finishes for high-profile commercial spaces and nightclubs in New York City, according to a news release. After moving to Charleston, she began Mirth Studio to offer clients her custom motifs through hardwood floor tiles designed to be easy to use that make installation more convenient and accessible.
Hue & Dot soon followed as the sister brand and couture counterpart to Mirth Studio, focused on customization, artistry and collaboration, the release stated.
“The Charleston Design District felt like the perfect home for our new showroom,” Bennett said in the release. “The community here celebrates artistry and innovation in a way that aligns beautifully with our goals. We’re excited to create an immersive space for designers and homeowners to explore customization opportunities and collaborate with our team to bring their visions to life.”
